"No problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created it."
I am a Researcher and Lab Manager at the German Federal Institute of Hydrology (BfG) in Koblenz, located near the confluence of the rivers Moselle and Rhine at the world-famous "Deutsches Eck".
My research interests have always been at the intersection of molecular ecology and evolution with a focus on freshwater ecosystems.
I now use my expertise to establish new and innovative molecular biological methods for a modern biodiversity monitoring and aquatic ecosystem assessment, contributing to the development of an integrated and ecological water resources management.
